KITCHEN AND BATH REMODEL – ELK RIVER, MN

This was a Kitchen and Bathroom remodel that we just finished. The previous Kitchen was very small, had hardly any work space, and seemed very sectioned off from the other rooms of the house. There was a dividing wall between the living room and kitchen, which we removed to give the kitchen/dining an open, more welcoming space. We were able to add a ton of storage, a walk-in pantry, lots of counter space for eating and entertaining. The kitchen cabinets are painted and antiqued, with bead board details on the island to give it that little extra touch. Beautiful wood floors echo the wood color of the ceiling in the kitchen. The previous bathroom had very little storage and felt very dated. We gave her small bathroom a fresh new look with painted & antiqued cabinets, beautiful tile floors and custom tiled shower. We were able to also add some storage and give the vanity a lot more function as well as visual value. The client found some reclaimed barnwood that we were able to assemble into a unique “fence” style railing instead of the half wall that was originally at the stairs in the living room. There is also a tin tile ceiling over the living room that was antiqued to give it some charm and character. Overall this project has a ton of little features and lots of materials to give it a warm and inviting feel.
